It is a condition of the 482 visa to have sufficient medical insurance when in Australia. UK migrants to Australia benefit from a reciprocal agreement between the NHS and Medicare, which gives you sufficient cover. However the Medicare cover is not the same as the NHS, therefore it is important to understand what is and what is not covered.
